Course Review and Comments
Country View is a gem of a course in the woods of Maine. This is the ultimate locals golf course. It sits upon the top of one of the larger hills in the midcoast area and there are some spectacular views to be had on some of the higher holes. The par 5, 6th hole is a tremendous hole, from its elevated green to ponds on the right and left side it is usually a relief when you finally reach the green. Because of the hilly terrain you have a lot of elevation changes throughout the course. Carl the owner is often seen riding around either in his truck or on a tractor throughout the course and is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. During the summer you can be involved in some pretty spectacular thunder storms as well. This 9 hole course is has a lot of tricky shot plays, but all in all, it's has two of the easiest par 4s in the state. The course wraps up nicely with a 155 yard par 3 from an elevated tee. So breakout your 9 iron and put it on the green!

This is a must play, especially if your wife plays, and especially in the fall! The views from this course will rival/beat Mingo Springs and the two holes at Sugarloaf w/out the price tag!
