Course Review and Comments
My family has been staying at the Coeur d’ Alene Hotel for over two decades, and over the course of this time we have seen the professionalism and quality of the hotel severely diminish. Things you should know before staying here:
Your items are not secure, even in your room: Be aware that their parking garage is not secure and you could have your valuables stolen from your room. A maid stole several items of our clothing out of our room a few years ago. Others attending the convention had articles stolen as well. The hotel caught her and the police were involved. During our last stay, our mountain bikes, which were locked, were stolen out of the parking garage. They don’t have security cameras in the stairwells. Could this have been an employee again? We travel extensively and have only had our valuables taken twice, both times at this resort.
Indifferent Staff: With the exception of Beverly’s, a restaurant in the hotel, the service is substandard. Overall, the staff does not make you feel welcomed. When our bikes were stolen, the security guard came right down, but it took three attempts and several hours to have the hotel manager call us. He was polite, but he made no attempts to remedy the loss of our mountain bikes in any way except working with the police. He was the same manager when our clothes were taken.
Deteriorating rooms: The rooms are in desperate needs of remodeling. The decor is very old and worn out, and the carpets are really stained. The lobby has been remodeled but the rooms need it badly.
Stay at the Davenport in Spokane: For us, we’ll be staying at the Davenport Hotel in Spokane. It’s a third of the price, exceptional service, beautiful, and a 20-minute drive from Couer d’Alene. You can have the best of both worlds.

Extremely polished product with great staff & conditions to go with a design that's classic in some ways, innovative in others. Some might not be crazy about the cart path-only policy or walking w

The course is known for its floating green, but there are some holes on the front nine that are particularly stunning with the views of the lake in the background. Same goes for the back. Overall, it'
