Course Review and Comments
I called to ask for a tee time and was told they don't do tee times, just show up. I did that and got there no problem. I was told that because it already rained (sprinkled) I would not get a raincheck if it rained later that day. I was very puzzled by that policy but I played anyway because it wasn't going to rain again.
Fairways don't exist, there is grass, but it's all cut at the same height, so don't expect a nice cut fairway. Greens are like a carpet, super slooooowwww. Actually, the greens look like a fairway should look like. But no problem, I adjusted. Some greens don't roll true. I played a hard ball and on a few greens it bounced off the green like hitting a hard surface. I changed the ball to a softer ball and the ball at least stayed on the green. The back nine are more challenging and interesting. Some fairways are very narrow and the houses too close to the fairway, I think the course was not designed properly to accommodate the course and the houses. The car paths have been taken over by grass, but you can drive on the grass close to the green. Directions from hole to hole are not clear and you can get lost. Specially since car paths are almost non exsisting, crumbled, full of poth holes, or covered by grass.
Oh, sand bunkers are not maintained. I tried to hit a ball out of one and my club bounced up because the sand was hard.
Regardless, I enjoyed my round of golf, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to drive there to just play the golf course. Go to a top golf course in the island for better service and better conditions.
