We had a 1pm tee time. Got over to the tee at 12:45 and the line up to the first tee was out in the parking lot!! We had at least 10 groups ahead of us. We asked the starter if we were getting off at our 1pm tee time and he said, "NO, cause they're double booking the tee times in the pro shop." We figured we could get out of work and tee off by 1pm and finish by 5 (4 hours on a short course seems reasonable - don't it?), with darkness setting in by 5:30 at this time of year. Now we're looking at a 2pm tee time or later. We went into the pro shop to see about getting our money back or a rain check and we were told flat out, "NO REFUNDS, NO RAINCHECKS." As we inquired why, we were hit with the typical "It's the policy." statement. Then we became a little more vocal about how gladly they took our money, but didn't mention at the time that we would not get out at our "reserved" tee time. That's when the guy behind the counter responds with "If you don't get out of here I'm gonna call the cops." at which time the guy in our group said "Fine call them. I'd love to tell them how you are fraudulently collecting money from people (while he displayed his DEA badge). Mr. Customer service flipped him a business card and said, "Call the general manager." Which we did - and left a message. We finally teed off at 2pm and by the 5th hole the GM finally called back. His only solution to settling this matter was to tell us if we quit at 9 holes, he'd give us 9 hole rain checks. ARE YOU KIDDING? After the way we were treated, why would they think we'd ever want to go back there again? And it was SLLLLOOOOWWWWW too. I mean each cart had a GolfBuddy GPS but you'd have someone barely hit it 150 off the tee, but wait for the green to clear from 250 out????
