Course Review and Comments
Being an average golfer I would say you need to be at least average to get the most from this course. It needs to mature alot, greens are rough, several drainage issues. If I would have payed full boat I would have been very disappointed in the shape of the course. In all fairness it rained hard the day before we played. I love the design, I've never played a links type course, no trees, but lots of waste areas. I wasn't too happy about hitting my new clubs out of the rocks, gravel, ect. Having said that I'll play it again, but only after it matures some more.

This is a teriffic "links like" course. I say this with good affection for Chambers Bay as links courses are not manufactured, they are sculpted out of natural seaside property. This is a mu

We played this incredible course for the fourth time. This time it's set up for the US Amateur with extra fast greens and tall rough. Man, it is alot tougher with this set up. But it was great fun.

Wonderful Links golf experience. I didn't know that such a course existed in the US. Everyone calls themselves Links, but if you been to Scotland, you know it usually just lies. This is the real dea

Played this course for the first time this past Sunday. What a great course and a great day. It was sunny, about 70 degrees. The course was perfect, hard, fast and tough. It may be the most beauti

Wow, what a course. Beautiful, tough, challenging. I'm a local who thought it was too expensive, but got to play at the $59 local rate. Best value in the NW. Our group is going back the following w

Wow. We played last Sunday at the local $49 rate. I am amused by the golfers who don't understand or appreciate LINKS golf! This is easily one of the best in the US like the raters say. Played har

Does Chamber's Bay live up to the hype? No, but it's a nice course. I found it amusing that one reviewer states that it's better than Bandon. IMO, there is no comparison, Bandon is much better. I live

I was disappointed in the design. It is stuck/tucked within what looks like an old landfill. You are always in sight (sometimes actually within the line of play) of other golfers! We teed off at 8

Wow, first time here. Best links course in American, just like Scoland. Dumb players who don't understand Fescue grass and greens will never understand this course and it's greatness. The greens we

greens are bad, must have a course caddy to play much better if you want to shot in the 70's from the tip.

This is the best golf deal in America! I payed triple this to play Bandon and Pebble, and this course is better by far. No wonder it got the US Open.

This course is csomething VERY special and should not be missed. A MUST to add to your list of courses that HAVE to be played in your lifetime.

Grew up playing in Scotland's west coast: Turnberry - Troon etc. This is the BEST US Links golf course I have ever played. Bandon is overpriced and over-rated for golf (great for Social)

Wow, more than lives up to the hype. This is easily the best course I have ever played. It's hard to describe how monumental it is. Great choice for the open. This one is better than any course at

Absolutly amazing, the only people that may not like this course are the cart golfers that don't like a great walk!

I believe that "group think" is what is driving the hype of this course. The view is nice, but the golf experience is NOT worth $180. I could get the same view from the walking trail above t

Chambers Bay, the 2015 U.S. Open host, more than lives up to the hype. This is the type of place that could get the most jaded cynic excited to play golf.

The RTJ design team has created a true links course out of an enormous hole in the ground that yielded very high quality gravel and sand for nearly eighty years. It was this sand especially that made

This is the site of the 2010 US Amateur and the 2015 US Open. I can see why it was chosen. It is an amazing golf course. The problem is that it opened in June, 2007, and we played it in February.

Absolutely stunning...amazing views and a tough challenge. The whole course is just carved out of sand dunes. It feels like your playing in Scotland. Big slow greens undulate when you don't expect
