My buddies and I grew up on this course for beginners and kids, also women back then. We were all "Norman Rockwall" kids, lousy clubs, ragged attire, but we learned the game, found our balls in the rough, scrounged tees on every box, hit shots from every possible lie and hazzard, learned ettiquette from some of the worst offenders. I will always be thankful to the town of WH for providing this facility. No rest rooms, dirt tee boxes, no drinking water, just hours and days filled with boyhood fun enjoying the great game. Not to mention the snakes, bull frogs, snapping turtles and other cool stuff. Two holes in one, too, One legit on #8 and the other from the ladies' tee on #5 by Wood Pd. Road. PHD
