Irresponsible player and Management
Do the right thing
On September 24th 2013 at 3:45pm while on my way to pick up Mimi from (Doggie Day Care) my car was struck and damaged by an out of control golf ball.
As you can imagine I was quite upset and to add insult to injury when I approached a few golfers no one seemed to have any knowledge of what had just happened.
I decided to take my concerns to the Club Office and talk to the Manager who proceeded to spew a line of rationalization in my direction while feverishly and not successfully dragging the red herring across the path.
This went on for about a minute and then I said; this is the part where I stop listening and inform you that I am taking my issue to the Bristol Police.
I filed a complaint and reported the damage which is now on record.
The problem I have, and I do not want to generalize or committing a fallacy here, however; it seems that more and more as a society we are experiencing a diminished adherence to personal responsibility.
This is a slippery slope we must avoid as the long term effects will be catastrophic.
I could have been personally injured given the timing of the event.
After all it was a beautiful day and my window was open.
I can only wish the person who inflicted the damage to my vehicle all the best on their journey through life.
In closing; I would like to warn those who may travel on Tupelo Street and or Broadcommon rd. in Bristol, RI to do so with extreme caution.
