Course Review and Comments
This is a fantastic course for the money!! This course is open to the public and is so well maintained you would think that you are on a private course!! They have two (2) 18 hole courses and a 9 hole course at this location. All courses can be a challenge and as mentioned before in great shape!! I have played more expensive courses that used to be private and they do not compare to the condition of this course!! The only downfall of this course maybe the driving range, the driving range is just ok. There is nothing to really aim at except for one flag acting like a green, but it is not shaped or cut like a green should be. But if you are just looking to warm up and hit a few balls then it is sufficent. There practice / putting green is very nice to practice on while waiting to tee off on either of the 3 courses. The food and beverage prices are fairly priecd and they have a few beer cart girls that travel the course to provide you with beverages and food. They are not always around when you need them, but they did go out of there way to provide me with a beer that they did not have on there cart and only in the clubhouse. For that I give them a big thumbs up for going out of there way when they did not have to!! The lodge has a pool table for a good 19th hole to settle a tie breaker. The staff is very courteous and the rangers are very nice and let you play at your own pace without any hassle. I give this course a 9 out of 10 rating. I can not stop playing this course!! There sister course (Petrified Springs in Kenosha) is just as nice but I prefer the options of which course I want to or feel like playing.
