Course Review and Comments

I think it's only fair to give a context to my rating. I consider myself a blue-collar golfer. I play mostly munis. Around the Superbowl my brother and I escape the snow and cold of Colorado and head to Vegas / LA for a week of golf. We try to get in 7 rounds and are on a budget. Black Mountain fits the bill. $75 green fees (including cart) were well within my budget. The course won't knock your socks off like Bear's Best but at the end of the round we weren't disappointed.

Course Design Rating
Course Design Comments Pretty much straightforward. Not a lot of elevation changes or sidehill lies. Not a lot of trees.
Course Greens/Fairways Condition Rating
Course Greens/Fairways Condition Comments We played the oldest 9 first. The course was dry and a little sparse. We decided to play preferred lies. The second 9 (across the street) was in better condition.
Course Service Rating
Course Service Comments The staff was friendly and helpful.
Course Facilities Rating
Course Facilities Comments A small but functional Pro shop and clubhouse.
