Course Review and Comments

Black Mesa Golf Course had been waiting about 5 years after we first discovered it till we finally made it back down to Santa Fe and had the fortunate opportunity to play. This might not have happened if Heath Wade (assistant pro) hadn't found a 3 hole open slot at the first tee in the middle of a large charity tournament when we got there. (Thanks again Wade) We spent about 5 hours wandering around the course, golfing and taking photos on one of the most beautiful landscapes we have ever found in the American Southwest. When played from the proper tees, this golf course is fair to any level of golfer. The day we were on the course had a good time keeping us wandering in warmth and sunshine, a sprinkle or two of rain, and one of the most dramatic skies I've ever seen through my camera lens. You don't have to be a professional photographer to get decent photos out of a day like the one we had. The staff at the pro shop and Grill were very friendly and helpful and we left with large smiles on our faces and a definite decision that we SHALL RETURN..
