my family was members of this course in the late 60s and 70s.it was one of the top courses in the area. my first round of golf was played here in 1971, i was 10 years old. i am now 51 and played the course for the first time since 1978. i was pleasantly suprised at the conditions. the greens were good with the exception of number 1, i think it is a new green.fairways are are regular grass and very playable. i could tell the staff is making a great effort to bring this course back to the status it once was when i was a kid. i have alot of memories from this course and thought back often, when i was a kid, as i was playing.i am playing Bays again this sunday 7/1/2012 and will continue to play it if progress on the course maintenance continues.
