Course Review and Comments
I and 10 golf buddies stayed at the resort and played all three courses. Collectively they are the most difficult, wonderful, and maddening golf courses I have ever played. Do NOT play here if you are a hack. Simple as that. Come down to Bandon and vacation by all means, but these courses are unbelievably tough. And golf here is a very different matter than almost anywhere else. The fairways are almost hardpan, by design. The greens are very hard and very fast and they have wicked humps and bumps and slopes. It is not rare to be 20 yards from the green in two or three and wind up with an 8 or 9 on your card. If you get out of position on any of these golf courses, you are toast. I did not get a caddy but next time we come back I am saving some extra money for a caddy. A caddy will help you figure out how to play these magnificent monsters. If you are a reasonable golfer (<20 index, I would say) you owe it to yourself to come down, offseason to make it more affordable, to play the greatest golf courses you can play in the world. But forget about score; you won't score like you are used to scoring. Enjoy the experience and the beautiful scenery and go back home and smack the heck out of your local course - revenge upon the golf gods, Amen.

Some of the most overrated golf courses I have ever played. The resort was a pleasant surprise - excellent food and wine but the golf was mediocre. Pacific Dunes is an awful golf course - their vari

Played in late March. Yes, there was every type of weather (rain, wind, hail, cold) but none of it lasted too long, and it didn't diminish the enjoyment of playing these 3 great courses. I like Paci

Why play Pebble? The courses are in better shape and the staff is wonderful as opposed to the pompous and snooty staff at Pebble. The views are the best on the west coast...a total first class operati

Bandon Dunes is one of three courses there. We played Pacific Dunes and Bandon Trails there too. Each was an awesome golf course, each with enough differences between each that there was no question y
