Course Review and Comments
I learned to play golf here in the late 1940's as a little boy.Roy Brown was the Pro then, a very good golf pro and manager.
the Refinery workers (like my Dad)
were instrumental in having the golf course designed & built in 1940, and it opened in 1941.
Most all of the social functions were held here, Dances, Proms, Barbecues, Retirement party's etc.
It is still open today for play,
however, lack of water to the course has caused it to become more of a "desert" golf course - with oiled sand greens. I go back every chance i get, to play my "Home Course" Try it !
