Course Review and Comments

Beautiful course with lots of vistas of Tucson and the valley. The course requires some fore knowledge to be played well. There are a number of dogleg holes where the pin is not visible, so placement of tee shot is a guess unless you have a course guide or someone with you that has played the course before. The course is well bunkered. However, the bunkers are in terrible condition...no sand, only compact sand and gravel. It is easy to see why Phil Mickelson has the portfolio of shots around the greens...all of the lies around the greens are thin and require some creativity when approaching the hole. The course is very interesting and keeps one guessing...
