Course Review and Comments
we were attacked by flying bugs on the 12th, couldn't hit approach from fairway, flying in nose, eyes, etc. I can deal with that, but the explanation we received from the clubhouse employee was a shoulder shrug and a "what would you like me to do about it? It's the spring hatch!" Work crew on the green working on greenside bunker on 13 would not move. We waited 15 minutes, yelled, whistled, then hit with them there. Hoses running across the green, trucks parked greenside, we played around them. Brought to the attention of the same clubhouse employee and he shrugged his shoulders again and said, "Should've just hit into them."
Billion dollar course with a 10 cent jerk taking our money. See above condition rating. We played 36 holes, an undercooked burger for lunch, tipped your bag attendants, and bought a couple hundred bucks worth of merchandise and were treated like dogs.
I love the course, have played it 3 times. I normally would take clients and visitors up to play it but not anymore. It is amazing that one guy can ruin an experience like that. We weren't looking for comps or money back. A simple apology would've had us all come back spending a minimum $1000.00 per visit.

The best course I've ever played. The views are incredible. As the sun set over Lake Michigan and the bagpiper played in the fescue next to 18, it was the perfect ending to a wonderful round.

Not your normal golf course. Fairways are generous just don't miss them or you are hitting off the side of a canyon. Greens are superb. Played in September in shorts and short sleeves until the monsoo
