Course Review and Comments
I am the assistant pro and want to clarify things...Aetna Springs is and has been currently open to the public as the resort goes under construction, with a finish date of Memorial day 2015 being the goal. It is open Wed thru Sun..(Mon, Tues for special events) thru October, then going to Wed thru Sat. Green fees are 25/walk-30/ride 9 holes..and 30/walk-40/ride 18 holes everyday, all day. Built in 1890 by E.F Mutton and renovated in 2008 by Tom Doak, (Bandon) this course is in a spectacular setting, and is very challenging despite it's yardage of 3057 from the tips, with a par of 70, 69.0 rating and a 119 slope. Club selection and heavy movement on the greens are 2 key defenses. The only course in Ca. with Bentgrass & Fine Fescue greens, they roll super true.. This course is a Treat and well worth the trip. Be aware that there is not really food available on a daily basis, only special events...however there are snacks, beverages, beer & wine. Call and leave a message for more info.

This course was closed for 2 years and has reopened as a private course. Love it!
