Must play St IVes more often
We played a 4 ball at St.Ives for the first time in a couple of years, it was equally as challenging as we remember, with many +400 yds holes, which are good for the big hitters, and caused the others to be as accurate as possible when driving to avoid the heather. We all got around with more balls in the bag than last time too. It was windy on the top section, though the sun did make a valiant attempt to break through over the last 3 holes, so all in all a good days golf, at a bargain price.
Great course to play at any time of the year
It had been a few years since I last played Bingley St Ives, but I was looking forward to returning after a long wait. Even though the weather was wet and windy when I started the course played extremely well , with the greens in great condition for early April. I would recommend this course for all handicappers. The food was excellent as well!
Terrible greens
I used to love this course. First time I've played it for a long time. Can't pitch the ball on the greens and stop it which totally spoils the great layout that it is.
St Ives
Winter Greens in use on some holes, other holes recently chemically treated.
Use of electric carts even with winter wheels prohibited though you could use them as pull carts providing you left your battery in your car or the locker room. This is not a flat course so you need to be fit to pull a full set of clubs and cart around.
Staff very friendly.
War of the Roses
First time playing golf on the wrong side of the penines but if this place is anything to go by I will be back. Everything about this place was top notch and the clubhouse was worth the £12 green fee alone with memorabilia provided by local Billy Foster! The course it's self was in excellent condition although they had done some work on the greens which was a shame. Still had a good day out and will definitely return.
Very good course
Played this course many times before, liked it very much, we were just unlucky with the weather wind and rain on about 6 of the holes, we will be back to play it in summer
