What a find!
I stumbled across this course visiting Ilkley and actually booked the tee time in their car park. I was on my own, looking to head out as a single. Two groups of members asked if I wanted to join them and I thankfully (and finally) accepted. Not only was I shown the warmest of receptions, but I can only thank both Alan and Bruce for showing me the lovely course. The course condition was fantastic, some elements are blind and extremely undulated but luckily the course has an online hole-by-hole walkthrough which certainly helped (I also had the two members guiding me). This course was honestly a cracker - very much a members club, a tad rough around the edges but the course played brilliantly - both fairways and greens were maintained to a great standard (which put a lot of other courses to shame). I would have been willing to pay more for my green fee and can only show my appreciation in this review. A real find and the views weren't half bad either!
Loved it! Incredible views and friendly members. .
Played lots of courses around north Leeds and this is now my favourite. Excellent condition, incredible views and great value for money. Challenging with some fantastic holes! Spoke to some members afterwards who were very friendly and gave us lots of information about memberships, competitions, etc. It's a members run club so don't expect a club shop or fancy bar, but for playing golf this is excellent! Will be playing again soon.

A beautiful kept course a little tricky at times but great to play
A great course for the right time and place
We played here after work for a quick 9 holes and home for dinner, and it did the job perfectly.
Course layout - Quirky! a bit like designing a golf course in your own back garden, there are holes that cross each other and fairways that adjoin, if you are happy to slow down the pace, be patient and let others play across you its no problem at all, quite relaxing actually.
Condition - Well kept, the greens were slow but true and consistent from 1-9.
Ease of course - I played well 'perceived' handicap, so i do expect its quite easy, although there are a few holes that can catch you out and make you look foolish.
Generally - Great for a post work 9 holes. would I spend a long weekend playing 18 holes at this course? probably not, I'd rather pay a bit more and play elsewhere, but thats not what this course if for in my mind. Small, local and friendly, perfect for a spontaneous round on a nice evening.
Hilly!
Wonderful little course in great condition but there’s lots of up and downs and a flat lie is a rarity! Still very enjoyable
Confusing ground, lots of rough, uneven tees
First time playing and walked straight on with no staff in attendance. That’s fine but it would have been nice if there was better information on the course as it was not straightforward. Lots of turning back on ourselves throughout. Some nice holes to be fair but many just don’t have a smooth fairway and it felt like we were hitting from rough a lot more than normal. Greens were ok but a bit water logged. Tees were very uneven at nearly every hole. Great location and surrounds but sadly not a great course.
Challenging course with spectacular scenery
Considering the wet weather recently, the course was in fantastic condition.
Lovely little challenging course.
Stunning scenery and well worth a visit. Surely there can’t be many more picturesque courses for that money.
Hard the first time on visit due to some of the holes being blind but great course to try and get to know.
An Enjoyable Afternoon
A quirky course with some very interesting holes. It was wet underfoot but did not rain. Course was well looked after and the greens were good and ran true even at the time of the year. Favourite hole....4th/13th. Super views across Ilkley and Wharfe Valley. Clubhouse was closed. Few people on the course made it millionaires golf.
