Under repair it seems

Greens certainly under repair, like putting on glass. Was only decent since it was so quiet, but now we know why & it was hard booking a tee time. With house developments nearby I would guess course maybe no longer soon perhaps, which makes sense to not take too much care now

Great condition considering the poor weather!

We were surprised just how good the condition of the course was considering the weather recently.
A nice course with interesting holes.

Bit damp, good test, wish people showed more respect to the course!

Enjoyable course to play, suits the shorter hitting higher handicapper in a competition or friendly match......
Although wet in the week prior the course stood up rather well overall, pick and ace made sense as the ball was taking a fair bit of mud on at times, no plugging though.
We followed a 3 ball round and witnessed on several holes a massive divot being taken and not replaced....just walked over.....wanted to say something but where's it get me!
Probably members who'd be the first to moan if they landed in it! I replaced masses out there along with repairing a heap of pitch marks too.....both a pet hate of mine, it takes seconds and keeps the course in a better condition....just common sense?? Surely.
Anyhow enough of the moans....
Some love par 3 holes out there especially the back to back ones on the back 9, some shorter par 4s that allow a wedge in as a 2nd shot, we played off the whites and enjoyed our friendly battle, plenty of areas to lose balls if you're a semi wild player, definitely not a driver every hole....
Plenty of bunkers, don't seem to hold a good sand, seems too claggy like builders sand? Not fine enough, but does the job....happy to play here every now and then for a change from the links....
Only a putting green to practice on with no chipping and a well worn net in the way of facilities....

Course in VGC, Greens looking good for time of year.
Only negative is that some of the fairway yardage markers are marked incorrectly eg on the 16th fairway the 100 yd marker has 200 yards on it. Also some of the tee box yardage plates are incorrect in terms of yardage.

However I would recommend this course because of its condition and the different layouts between the two nibes.

Excellent course

Well maintained course with hotel. This course had greens like carpet! Not too challenging for the professionals, but the second nine has some surprises. Loved it.

A course of two halves

The front night a little basic but enough to keep you thinking.
The back nine was completely different, longer holes and with elevation changes.

Great value for money

Good course - great condition

The course was in excellent condition with both tees and greens in very good order. The 2 9’s are very different with tight lines on the front 9 and a few dog leg holes whilst the back 9 is straighter but fairways are very sloping making it impossible to hold the fairway. All in all a good day out on a well maintained course.

Shocking

The pace of play was absolutely horrendous, it asks people to play fast, they clearly attempt to cram people in like sardines. We played a 2 Ball and we were constantly held up by people who were members of the club, you would’ve thought being a member you would know to play at a pace. Staff were friendly enough, not a lot near by and the club house seating is was enough for about 15 people max. The course of was challenging but it felt like it was just more of a well maintained garden than a golf course, especially the front 9. They have attempted to make the front 9 challenging by having obstacles in front of the green, but instead of bunkers there were just random bushes. The back 9 is based around a sort of ravine type thing, but instead of making it a challenging course directly, it’s like they did it indirectly by purchasing an awful piece of land across the road. Wouldn’t recommend personally.
