Disappointed

Please before and enjoyed the course. Came back after 6 months and course is not in a good condition. Weeds in bunkers, greens very slow, basically whack it hard at the pin. 6 and 7 under repair, poor signage. Grumpy staff

Could be so much better.

Layout and looks of the course are great. However quality of the surface is lacking, Based on the price this is not a huge deal but holes 6 and 7 completely unplayable and closed off.
If this was mentioned prior to booking or at least prior to teeing off with the option to playing 2 other holes twice as an alternative then wouldn't be an issue but to just have to find 2 closed holes half way into the round is disappointing

Not good

All tee boxes were absolutely dreadful. Huge divots in them all. Fairways were soaking and muddy. Greens were covered in earthworm casts and were patching. Then I got to the 6th hole and because of the gas pipeline works…..it was a 200 yard par 4, not too bad but then the 8th was a 95 yard par 4 lol. No warning from the clubhouse. Which isn’t very welcoming anyway.

Good cheap option for 9 holes

Didn’t drain great in places so was wet. Big stones in the bunkers. There were tee boxes for white tees but none laid out so the course played really short off the yellows. It didn’t make sense as you could see it would be a much more challenging and interesting course off the back tees.

Will be perfect when summer comes!

Lovely little course. Was very waterlogged when I played, not the course’s fault, so there were some mats for tees. Nice layout. Very good pace. 18 holes in 180 mins. Description was a little misleading, as it made it seem like you could play nine and then just play another nine if you wanted to. The staff mentioned that they had spoken to Golf Now about this but it hadn’t been updated. Another 9 holes was possible… However there was an upgrade charge of £10, making it £27 for 18 holes. Would happily come back down when the conditions are drier, as that will be a fair representation of how good the course can be. Thanks for having me.

Disappointing

The course is incredibly wet with large pools of water on certain holes. It is a real shame that the course has been changed from holes 5,6&7 making the course and holes shorter due to external works being carried out.

Horrible

Booked in for Sunday and when went for check in came to know that only four holes were available to play as the rest were on maintenance and was asked to play the 4 holes twice and a complimentary coffee. U having a laugh. Staff was rude and said ask golf now for refund if u don't want to play. Pathetic. Waiting for my refund now

Couldn’t play

Couldn’t step foot on the course cause there’s a rule that doesn’t allow non playing people to walk around with you? My partner doesn’t play golf but the member of staff expected her to rent clubs and play? Ridiculous rule. The guy at the pro shop said it says it all over the golf now page…it doesn’t (see screen shot)

Great full size 9 hole

As a beginner I have played a few other 9 hole courses which were just pitch and putt. I enjoyed this 9 hole with full length holes. Enough variety and challenge here. Narrow fairways make accuracy a must. Par 5 to end was great too.
