Bring you’re own lawnmower

The Suffolk has always struggled with keeping the course condition playable. Today it was 99% unplayable. The fairways grass was so long and deep, paired with every leaf strewn across it… meant even a fairway bound drive was destined to be lost. 9 balls were lost in the fairway….

It has such great potential, yet it seems the course Is left to rot whilst millions of pounds are spent building cabins in the middle of the course.

Needs serious improvement and investment of simply maintaining the course. When you can’t find any grass to put a tee in, youve gotta ask questions!

Not ready

Currently a construction site. Vans and workmen all over the course. Layout is terrible, very confusing with little or no signage. The buildings are akin to the course as in the layout is confusing and makes no sense. We gave up on the back 9 having paid £30ea for 18. Not worth the money. Avoid.

Testing course

It is a hard course with little room for error on some holes which was a nice test. I saw a lot of negative reviews online from past months and years but I was quite impressed. A few of the greens need a little patch up but most of them were really good. Fairways were nice but some of them had the grass trimmings left on them which was a little annoying but a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Better signage would be handy with some holes especially with many of them crossing over and the building work moving greens not being annotated on map etc. would definitely go back and would recommend.

Poor condo

This course has so much potential but it needs a whole load of work to achieve this. Whilst the general appearance of the hotel and golf shop shouts first class the actual course is very disappointing. Tee boxes look like a goalmouth in the winter months, tee markers need freshening up and some proper signage giving directions to next tees would be helpful. Wasn’t told about the 14th being on a temporary green or in fact it was a par 3 not the par 4 as the card directed. Aprons around greens suffer a severe lack of grass and a couple of greens need attention as the bare patches are horrific. Not a course I will rush back to play.
