Traditional old links course

Very enjoyable round played in very strong winds. There is a natural feel about the layout which is refreshing. Not too long. Good greens. Closing par 3 a challenge with out of bounds down right and clubhouse behind.
Clubhouse facilities were good but no food was available because the weather was so bad!

Great day by the sea

From booking the rounding the app through to teeing off was a breeze. Very welcoming club from the pro to the members. It’s a short course but has some great little challenges plus the greens are lightning with some massive swings,
Great day out and will be returning soon plus saving a few quid with the app always helps

A challenging links course !!!!

I played this links course on a breezy day of around 15-25 mph
winds and was delighted in the challenge it posed .The golf pro and members were very friendly and helpful, as a lone golfer the flow of golf was perfect. The front nine was wind behind with a tough headwind on the back nine .The greens were in good condition and I would not hesitate to return.

Well worth it!

It takes almost an hour for me to reach the course, but it’s worth every minute and every mile. Minehead is a lovely course with a variety of challenges. It’s a joy to play whatever the conditions. Friendly staff offer a warm welcome - much appreciated after a longish journey.

Great course - too many people playing

I took the hot deal on Teeoff times because I thought the time 14.50, suggested it might not be too busy. There were also lots of tee times available around that time - but the club clearly doesn't pay much attention to booked tee-times. After 3.5 hrs, I'd played 12 holes, so I walked off. I know they have a short summer season and have to do what they can to generate revenue, but the pace of play was dreadful. I was playing alone and 4-balls (of which there were many) would not wave me through. I suspect they were not members, but tourists.

Classic links course spoiled by too many people being pushed through.

Challenging links course

I had a really interesting round of golf on this tight and windy golf course. The greens were hard and fast and called for some interesting shots to get the ball anywhere near the hole. Scored well going out but found the second half much tougher against the wind. Quite a few holes overlap and it can be quite tight but overall a real challenge and well worth the money. Pro shop very friendly and well stocked.

Minehead Golf Course, Somerset, England

For the time of year I thought the course was in fantastic condition. I would also like to make a special mention about the two professionals (Jordan and John) they were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating.

An excellent practice round

The breakfast before our round was well presented and set us up for an eagerly anticipated practice round before this weekends Bridgestone regional final. The course was very well presented, especially considering the lack of rain. Although the course was hosting a club match, the pace of play was good. My 2 ball still finished in 3 1/4 hours. There is a need to read the card to know where your green is, especially on the last few holes where a number of greens are visible. I am still looking forward to playing the course again and removing the couple of doubles from my card.
