Poor condition

Fairways needed cutting. Struggled to see balls on the fairway.
Grass cuttings everywhere
Tee boxes awful. Uneven and patchy.
Could be really nice once cut

just little things

fairway grass was really long with too many flowers and daisy's making it hard to spot my ball. greens were also quit long and slow. bunkers need reworking with more rakes, some people cba to rake after themselves. 16t could use a pole for direction for driver line.

putting green also too long and now you can't chip on them. they removed a chipping area opposite the putting green. no driving range sign but as I walked past a hole there looks like there was one. not sure if you have to use your own balls

tuna pasta bowl from the fridge was lovely, I had the last 2 with a good selection of flavoured drinks

Superb course , Cheap but don’t expect a beer afterwards

Our local course play here most weeks, great staff , really friendly , course was in fantastic condition for the money , always worth the money here. Only issue is the bar is always shut ? Never able to sit with a beer afterwards , I know it’s not for everyone but sometimes it’s good for a few of you to unwind with a beer or soft drink afterwards. All in all though an excellent place , well worth the money!!

Very disappointing

The course was not in a good condition after all rhe winter rain. Two holes, 15 and 16, had only just been cut for the first time should not have been open and were virtually unplayable. Grass height on tees and fairways were much higher than you woule expect. The greens were bumpy and in poor condition.

Poor

The club has really gone downhill, fairways need sorting out, bunkers still gur and have been for a long time, lot of the greens have worm problems. Used to enjoy playing here, but this is our last time until the course and clubhouse improves, can't even have a drink afterwards. Very disappointing.

Just really bad

The course could be something, but sadly there is a lack of care to it's condition.

The fairways are possibly mown once a fortnight as evident through the amount and height of the dandelions that have over run them. Greens are not horrendous but clearly not maintained regularly. Holes have not been moved in weeks (months?) so edges are rough and the flag doesn't sit tight in the hole.

They mention that bunkers are GUR but have been abandoned for this year. They are full of weeds and have been taken over by burrowing animals. A shame as they could add some thing to the layout.

Finally the bar seems to be also permanently closed. You can buy drinks but you are served by the pro shop staff. Further evidence of the desire to the owners to cut as many costs as possible.

Should say the pro shop staff were friendly.

Great course , great price!

This is my local course , play here most weeks , it’s excellent value for money , most regulars keep it moving at a great pace without feeling too rushed. The people on the desk are always really friendly and have a good bit of banter with you , my only criticism are the bunkers , they are terrible , but the fairways and greens are kept well even through the winter. Excellent course , fantastic value for money

excellent value for money

at £20 this represented excellent value for money.
The course was in good condition after some rain and there was no trolley ban.
Kitchen shut but we were forewarned and took food and drink.
Easy wide open fairways and with bunkers out as GUR no real hazards on most holes.
Back 9 more interesting than front.

Great value for money!!

Play this course every Friday afternoon , the staff are extremely friendly when you visit the desk at the pro shop, always easy to book a tee time , it’s improved a lot lately , the fairways seem a lot better and the greens a lot tidier. My only criticism is that the bunkers are in very poor condition , but for £20 a round I’m not massively complaining. The tee times are good but sometimes a little cramped , could maybe do with allowing a little more time between them all to keep everyone moving a bit better. Overall really enjoy playing here , excellent value for money , and very much hoping they continue to look after it so it’s just as good over the winter months .

In need of TLC in places

Greens were ok, some Tee boxes were in poor state, some really nice holes though with great views. Our 2 ball round in 3 hours, which was great
