Poor hospitality

Was only 7 of the 9 holes available to play but this was not mentioned beforehand. Made to feel extremely uncomfortable when trying to use the restaurant bar afterwards. Was made to sit outside in the cold.

Poor Course Conditions/Facilities

The course was in really poor condition, the green were all bumpy and slushy, the fairways were worse than rough, as the ball would disappear into ground making it impossible to find your ball. The course should not be open until the conditions were improved, and there was so much slow play, I guess this was due to the conditions, but would not consider playing here again. Poor!

Great little course

A lovely 9 hole course. It’s interesting and fun, challenging at times but also very playable. It also has an excellent driving range, pro shop and restaurant on site.
Really enjoyed it, will definitely visit again!

Wet weather
Walked

not at its best

played after a wet period and winter conditions. Off mats and winter greens, the course was very short and the winter greens hadn't been cut probably couldn't get machines on without damaging the course, some evidence of that, some direction could have been better the 7th and 9th weren't sure, especially when others wernt using the mats but playing of the unmarked tee boxes. All the yardages were guesses, the greens were uncut and the ball plugged a lot overall very short, holes of say 80 yards. Looks better than this and would like to play in the summer when the course may well be a better test and the tees and greens are in use.

Avoid - not worth a tenner

The staff were rude, instructing us to book through their website instead of here through GolfNow. Incentivise us to do so with deals and better prices, don’t just give me an order.
The groundsmen are a joke - following us hole after hole, sitting in the middle of the fairways while we were stood on the tee boxes, and even driving over the wet greens leaving tyre tracks!
The course itself is dull and forgettable. The signage is poor and the tee boxes are often muddy and uneven. There are next to no yardage markers of any kind, and due to all of these reasons, we had a bad and boring round.
The lack of clubhouse is also a real detractor.

We won’t be back, and we’ll encourage our various societies and groups to look elsewhere. Not good enough.

Ingleby Barwick

Course is a good little challenge and tricky in parts, when you have the Tees running parallel to the fairways. Pace of play today was really good and the course was pretty quiet

Greens have recently been aeriated which is always a little disappointing, but understand its also necessary for upkeep.

Really enjoyed playing the dogleg 5th/14th that swings around the back of the course and whilst quite open, can be tricky off the tee.

All in all, a nice little course, that is still interesting even though you effectively play 9 holes twice.

Not bad, decent value

Winter rules, winter greens, conditions and mats, as good you would expect for the price.

Bit annoying there was no club house to grab some food before the round
