Good course
Great course but finished on the 13th as pace ahead far too slow. We had to wait around ten minutes a hole to let 3 x 4 balls and a 2 to go. It was painful to be there and cold, so we will never play on a Saturday again. 13 holes took 3 hours 20 minutes! No one about to push these people to go quicker. Really disappointed
Cold Ashby, but warm and friendly.
A super friendly golf club with s could full of challenges, natural and fabricated.
What a Gem!
First time playing this course with the boys as a four ball. An absolute pleasure to play. Great course conditions, holes and scenery really interesting. Up there as one of the best courses we’ve played locally. All that played said they were looking forward to coming back. Only recommendation is play with buggies as it’s a proper up and down course . Staff were friendly. Wellldone to all at Cold Ashby!
Good, considering the British weather!
Obviously recent bad weather meant the course was a little wet in places and winter tees were in use to protect the tees but all in all not bad condition at all - friendly welcome, pretty quiet and some challenging holes (and hills!)
Definitely be back in the summer
Cold Ashby
Great course, staff friendly, good amenities
If you like an undulating course you will not be disappointed here that’s for sure!!
Windy but wonderful
I played this course on a very windy day which made playing conditions very tricky. But the course was still presented in really nice condition. Some very interesting holes. Varied and challenging in equal measure. Small greens but true. Could do with better signage between green and tee as got lost more than a few times. Off course the staff was most friendly and more than made up for the less relatively sparse facilities. But please go play you won’t be disappointed
Nice course well worth playing
Great course with some really interesting holes. They also managed to keep it open and playable in the bad winter weather when most courses around were closed. There’s lots of hills so good for fitness too!
Hilly but very cool
Great course very hilly and interesting holes with a good degree of difficulty but really enjoyed the challenge staff excellent only downside need to install disabled access upto restaurant and bar (all stairs) also no disabled toilets but staff couldn’t be more helpful trying to resolve the issues definitely go back again
I will play again
I would love to play this course when it’s less windy and dry. It was still very good though. I had a great time. Could do with better signage though
Great value and a challenging course to catch up with friends
I'm a member of a club that is not welcoming visitors yet and played here to catch up with friends.
The experience was fantastic and the staff are very friendly. Having reopened with the members in charge it's a work in progress in parts (some tees scruffy) but is already well on the way and importantly it feels like a proper golf club.
If I had a choice of playing here or Brampton Heath I'd pick here for the experience over what is currently probably a better course at BHGC who nevertheless seem to let anyone play wearing anything and just accept people taking well over four hours as standard.
Hills !!!
Get a buggy or an ECG machine....
Nice variety of holes.
Friendly pro and bar staff
Course as good as possible given the drought. Greens like concrete but run true.
Needs better sign posting for newcomers as several holes next tee is not obvious.
And by God is it hilly in places !
Will be back
Really friendly golf club. Having played today, the condition of the course is 100% better than under the previous ownership.
The greens run true, the fairways are lush , wonderful panaramic views , and a welcome from the Professional and the Club Secretary Peter Sparks, that is second to none !! I would personally recommend this golf course and club for all levels. I’d give it a 5 star rating
