Great course
Probably one of my favourite courses-always in good condition, greens always well kept and great staff-lovely food and bar is great-course pro Sean is an absolute diamond
Wirral
Course in poor condition, 2 temps in play, which we wasn’t told about when booking, fairways over grown, greens not grest
Temp Greens
Great club everyone extremely friendly.
Only criticism this time was 8 temp greens and nobody mentioned it before we started.
Really should have been discounted with this many temps on.
Even members commented.
Beautiful course
Great little gem. Pity about members not letting people through. 4 ball held up a one ball and then 4 lots of two balls. Round took 4 hours instead of 3 because of them. They need to be told that is unacceptable that is not the spirit of golf.
Great round really enjoyed it
Course condition was superb, greens great, staff brilliant
Short but narrow course. Great greens and facilities.
Played Wirral GC on 1 September 2022. Teed-off on time. Pace slow initially but quickened up as the round progressed. The course was firm owing to the hot spell but the greens were in excellent condition. The course is not long but narrow so accuracy off the tee is required especially in dry conditions. The heather that separates the fairways has been considerably thinned so it’s not as difficult to play out of at the moment. It is a local course that we play often and I always enjoy playing it. The clubhouse has been renovated, the food is good, the staff and members are friendly and the green fees are affordable. Highly recommended course and club if you are able to play it.
Lovely round on a lovely course!
Second time of playing Wirral and wasn't disappointed. It's a lovely heathland course, not long, but tests accuracy and also a good variety of holes. It was in very good condition although the greens were quite slow as they had been treated and not cut, but first week of August is usually a greens maintenance time so no complaints. Weather was great and the members we spoke to were very friendly and hospitable. Stayed for a couple of drinks afterwards too.
Love the layout and will definitely be back there again!

Excellent day out. Great course for us oldies, easy walking in perfect weather. Followed by a nice pint in the clubhouse. 5 Stars from us.
Short course but straight hitting required.
I can’t recommend this course highly enough. Although the course is short it requires straight hitting to avoid the heather alongside the fairways. Course was in excellent condition, the greens were mid-paced but true. The clubhouse has recently been renovated and the bar has been taken over by ‘Gallaghers’. Members and staff were friendly and welcoming. It was a great day all round, can’t wait to return using Golf Now discounted green fees. Being local, I could be tempted to join the club.
Highly recommended on all categories.
Tight Course, Good Layout, Poor Greens
We finished our round in 3 hours 45 minutes which for a 4 ball with 2 who haven't played it before was good. Also helped by the fact it's a short course and there were no par 5's.
The course is well laid out with some very tight driving holes although I didn't need to use my driver that often.
Unfortunately the greens were in a pretty awful state which was a shame as the last time I played there they were good. We were chatting to a member in the local pub after our game and he was saying the green staff had put something on the greens that had badly affected them and that he thought they were going to be bad for the entire summer.
Everyone on and off the course was very friendly.
