Really enjoyed the course , it was wet in places but with all the rain we have had it’s hardly surprising. We are new to the area and are looking for somewhere to join and this iis a strong contender . Played well which is always a bonus. Just 4 temp greens in use 👍
Hats Off
Never been my favourite course and was not expecting much due to the weather, I can only say "hats off" to the green staff. Given the current climate the course played really well with winter tees shortened holes and a couple of temps, a great round of winter golf. We were well received both before and after in the shop/bar. Well done to all at Berrington, looking forward to another round in warmer weather.
Lovely course
Very good condition for this time of year, a lot of temporary greens and every hole has winter tees as you are playing what they call the blue course, these makes the course much shorter but it was well sign posted to show you where to tee from and this obviously helps to keep the greens and tees in good condition for when they open, which is soon I believe. This course is great value for money, we played at peak time on a Saturday and enjoyed a round with a quick pace of play. Would recommend to a friend
Great for those looking for a winter course.
Played in early February after on and off rain for the past week. All holes were open but 4 on temporary greens. The greens that were open were in excellent condition.
90% of fairways had drained well and drives would actually bound down rather than the usual plug!
For new players to the course. Hole to hole is sign posted well and easy to follow.
Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a solid, challenging course - especially in the winter.
Will be back in summer
Playing off winter tees but 95% of coarse was perfect
All off blue tees some matts and maths weren't great, appreciate we had some bad weather but lots of water on course. Some tricky holes which made it more of a challenge. Greens where in good condition
Would play again in the summer when course a bit dryer

Enjoyable course which was in good condition considering how wet it’s been. Beware the crazy 90 degree dog leg on the 7th!
Really nice course
Played after a really wet week so course was still recovering. Greens were very good. I enjoyed playing with a group of 3 members (Chris, Tom and Tony) who made the afternoon very enjoyable. Due to the bad weather one hole was unplayable because of flooding, however the whole experience was well worth it. If you get the chance book a round.

HAS POTENTIAL TO BE A REALLY NICE COURSE
First time I’ve played this course and was quite impressed. Considering the amount of rain that had fallen the previous two days, and on the day of the round itself (although it did brighten up for the round), there actually wasn’t too much standing water on either the fairways or the greens.
Some very nice water features to ensure you get a good drive off the tea and to also challenge your course management. Rough was quite forgiving so you could get a decent 3-wood on your ball if the lie was kind.
The only criticisms I’d probably have is the cut around the fringes of the green could be a bit tidier as some were a bit patchy, as well as it being a bit difficult to distinguish the green from the cut of the fringe. Also, the club shop was just a bit unwelcoming (not the gentleman who booked us in, more the building itself).
But, to be honest, we’re splitting hairs in the grand scheme as the pros of the course outweighed the cons. And for 28 quid for a two-ball, great value.
A day’s gold ruined
Avoid this course on a Tuesday as it has seniors day competitions which we were behind and 4.15 to finish and we had 4 groups on every hole from hole 3 where we caught up absolutely ruined a nice days golf. The tee boxes are also the worst I have played off all year and when we got in and compiled they were in denial that anything was wrong avoid Tuesdays was what we were told. Unbelievable
Poor place to golf
I played the course recent and both myself and playing partner was fair from impressed.
Although the fairways and greens were in good condition, the tee boxes are very poor. It was quite obvious they hadn’t been watered or well maintained. While teeing off I sometimes had to play outside the tee box due to the conditions.
Then the staff, the guy in the club house who booked us in was great but the on course staff was terrible. We had a number of incidents when the green keepers would continue to drive toward us as we where taking shots. 1 green keeper actually drove over my ball as we was walking up
