My disgusting experience, DONT COME HERE ⚠️⚠️⚠️

I came here today with my dad to play 9 Holes, and I’ve never been more disgusted in my entire life. The arrogance of the staff AND members has absolutely appalled me. Me and my dad are working at an amazing pace as we could of done, there is a man infront of us and two teens in front of the man also who arent even meant to be on the course at this point because they came of the 18th straight to the 1st,when your meant to let the people infront waiting on first! Anyway, we weren’t going anywhere anytime soon even if we wanted to, theres so many people infront.
A man with glasses comes speeding over to us in a truck, and asks us to let these two grown men behind us infront, bare in mind theres about 3-5 people DIRECTLY infront of us, and then even more people infront of them. Me and my dad are like like what do you want us to do, theres loads of people infront we cant go anywhere. The man goes “true”. So my Dad goes, “if you should be having a word with anyone it should be the boys infront, they skipped infront of us, without letting us on”. The man goes “really?” drives his truck away without having a word to anyone else. He had only came up to us because he saw that theres a FEMALE JUNIOR golfer, with her dad and thought oh yea she must be slowing everyone down when we are directly behind the man infront. Get your facts straight before coming over!

We later find out that the two men behind us are the ones that rang the Pro-Shop, asking us to go infront, could they not just use their eyes and see that no one was going anywhere anytime soon?!

Me and my dad complete our 5th hole, we turn around and we see the two men behind us, skipping to the next hole, WITHOUT informing us?! So we go over and were like, if your gonna skip infront of us we will not be waiting for you to hit your shot, if you get hit its your own fault. One of the FULLY GROWN MEN, goes “they dont allow lessons on the course”, implying that my dad is giving me a lesson when he really wasnt, Ive actually been playing golf for a year now!

We dont have any interactions with the men infront after that, however he does ring the Pro-Shop up yet again, and the worker drives past in his truck again looking to see where we are, notices we are right behind the two grown men, doesn’t bother stopping because there’s nothing you can say! We are in the right here.

Once we’ve finished, my Dad goes into the Pro-Shop after to complain, and the Staff were not hearing him out one bit! Taking the member’s side simply because they are members. The attitude on the Staff was disgraceful, no remorse for what we have been through whatsoever.

Your meant to be encouraging juniors to play on the golf course, yet you treat me like this? An absolute joke if you ask me. Regardless of everything thats gone on, I will not be letting this ruin my day, or my future in golf. I will continue to show up to courses, and I might even go back to Aintree again sometime, who knows! Butt do I really want to keep supporting a place that bully’s juniors? Definitely not.

To put it simply, I really wouldn’t recommend Aintree to anyone anymore, its fully disappointed me this, and I dont think ill be coming back until there’s serious change! And trust me, this place needs some serious change.

forgiving rough

A really nice 9 hole course, wide fairways and light rough. A couple of challenging holes over a big pond. Lovely surroundings as its part of the race course and steep in history. Staff very friendly and helpful.
