Course condition
The course and layout is very good, the heavy rainfall in the last weeks have made it heavy going, coupled with fairways needing a cut. Cut the fairways and I would seriously think of membership.
Packed in the golfers on the weekend to extract money, course was worn
The course was worn and had been battered by wet weather. The greens were slow and unpredictable. Th fairways were waterlogged and there was mud everywhere. It wasn't especially cheap and the 4 balls were being sent out with 6min gaps, it took 5hrs to get round, not fun.
One of my favourite courses
This is one of my favourite golf courses, having played hundreds over the years. It is long and with beautiful, tree-lined holes. Whenever I have played (weekdays), it has been extremely quiet with hardly any golfers around. The cost is low and extremely good value for money.
Park wood pretty good.
First time playing here, pretty lush off the fairway but good lies on the fairways with excellent covering of grass. Good design and many trees to give you a problem if you are wayward. Greens were still recovering from Holotining so we're not in their best condition. We will return and as previously stated in another review the course is tucked away in the country side. Good value for money Re the green fees.
Lovely course would play again
Really enjoyed the course...although I did call the day before to see if the greens were being worked on and was told they were in good condition. When we arrived the greens had just been hollow tired and sanded which really tarnished the day and to boot when we finished at 5pm the bar was closed.
Great place to play if you’d like an early tea after
Really nice set up. The only thing that was the downside. They were doing the maintenance on the putting greens and I was not notified this when I booked otherwise good cause I would play again.
Value for money
Course was in excellent condition, would not hesitate to play this again. A little bit off the beaten track, but we’ll worth the drive.
Beautiful
Wow what a stunning course. First time played will not be the last. The only issue would be more options in golf shop/bar. Staff wonderful
Great hidden gem
The The coat is in fantastic condition. Credit to the greenkeeping staff love playing here. Keep coming back lovely hidden gem and worth every penny.A++++
Park Wood golf Course
Course in excellent condition, interesting challenging layout.
Staff freindly, and a shout out to KJ, who went above and beyond to be helpful and professional.
Soooo slow
Held up by a group of two who refused to let me through since hole 10. Greens were waterlogged despite two hottest days of year so far. Fairways not cut short enough and greens not cut either. On top of it all accused of not paying
Quiet , rural pleasent course
The course has a enjoyable playing layout , with a good mixture of long and short holes . The course was mud free and full of lush grass unlike the other local courses The greens were a little slow but very consistent .
Park Wood poor condition
Got to the course and was told no buggies or trolleys allowed due to course condition so had to carry bag for the round. The course was so soft and wet ,hardly any ball carrying forward on the fairways, ground also seemed bumpy and general condition of the greens not what they used to be.
Finished the round very tired after trudging through the soft muddy ground ,very tired and looking forward to sitting down with a drink only to find the clubhouse locked up and everyone gone home.
