Great Parkland course
Played Canterbury a few times , beautiful course which was in immaculate condition.
Lots of GUR
On arrival we headed to the club shop to book in for our round. Staff was friendly but we were told there were no buggies allowed today,
Also on player needed new balls but there was only 1 selection of balls.
We then headed to the driving range which was a little walk away, leave plenty of time for that.
Although the course was in a good condition for the time of year the Greens were very long and slow,
There was also quite a few GUR around the course which we was not told before and some were quite large areas like the 2nd hole was just all dug up around the green. Also some holes have winter mats and some don’t and some holes were just winter mats placed 50 yards down the fairway.
I imagine in the summer time this is a lovely course when all the right things are in place, I just think we came at the wrong time of year.
Great course lots of Hills
Love this course. The layout is excellent, some really good elevated tees & some challenging holes. Had a great day, the course is in excellent condition and i'd recommend it to anyone. The only negative is the cost is a bit more than a few others of similar quality, at £60 a round
Great layout
What a little gem of a course, fantastic greens and interesting holes, a few elevated tees which is always nice, overall a lovely course will definitely be going back..
Exceeded expectations
Used to playing links courses so the woodland nature was a real treat. We played at 7:30 am on a Friday, Check in was swift, a members 4 ball let us go out before then on the first tee and another group called us through on the 4th, didn't see anyone else after that. The course was in excellent condition with very true greens, plenty of ball cleaners and bins around the course and liked the rake stands in each bunker. Plenty of variation on the course and lots of memorable holes... Cant wait to play again. Cant rate the club facilities as we didn't have chance to hang around.
