Fantastic course
Played this course after a long time and coming back was special. Facilities are always great and the quality of the course was great for an early April round. Greens were is great condition.
The course has excellent features
It was great experience for me to have a game in a private course. Although the course was a bit long and threre were a lot of challenging holes in the first 9 holes, it was a very enjoyable day and the surrounding scenery was great.
To open the entrance gate, don't forget to enter '1' and '0' in order and press the 'Call' button.
Underwhelmed
The price did not match the conditions or layout of the course.
Golf at the highest standard
Ive played a lot of golf courses and a number of highly rated ones. This is right up there.
There are some sensational holes playing over water with superb greens and bunkers.
Fairways could be a bit nicer but that's my only criticism.
Its such a shame the course was so quiet because it should be booked for months.
I appreciate that there's a number of really nice courses in the area but can't understand why this one was so quiet.
Stunning views
Really stunning views if the estate and its buildings. Four fairways cross the river Lea so if you are a female novice golfer like me whose balls don't just yet go super far it may be a challenge! I lost some balls for sure. The food in the clubhouse was one of the best clubhouse lunches I've ever had.
Beautiful Course......
Played here for the first time in 7 years and it is still in good condition with the exception of the pitchmarks in every green. We did play mid afternoon and the greens were receptive and quick and I am sure they have a lot of traffic but I cannot remember seeing as many pitchmarks on any course ever. Pretty poor from members on such a beautiful course. For me the 4th, 16th and 18th make this course worth playing alone and the bunkers that come into to play from the 5th onwards make it a pleasant challenge. Would definitely play again....just to get the ferry on 18!
Nice course
Nice course...in good condition.
Views around the course are stunning. Nice friendly staff all round the course and clubhouse.....Made you feel welcome.
Thank you.
Lovely Round
Lovely Round at Brocket Hall. Beautiful course, very Picturesque. The only thing I would feedback is that there needs to be much better signage around the course regarding next Tee etc.
Superb course in stunning grounds , but fairly tough
Brocket Hall
A good course but (despite this time of year) I expected it to be in better condition. When paying premium prices (it would have been £100 if I had booked ten mins earlier) you expect the best and this isn't it. Actually finding the club house is difficult enough and the layout of the (admittedly cast) place seems confusing to a newcomer. The course was shortened by about 1000 yards I would estimate which is a bit much in my opinion. I understand the time of year it difficult but it felt like for the premium prices being paid I deserved more. The staff are very friendly and it certainly looks like a very nice place to eat etc but when compared to similarly priced places (such as the Grove) this falls somewhat short for me. A nice place to visit, but I'm not sure the golf is the prime focus here.
