Cow field
I’m not sure if it was the weather or if this just was the condition of the course but some holes it was equivalent to playing in a cow field and putting on a gravel driveway.. pay an extra tenner and play elsewhere, believe me.
Poorly maintained but beautiful location
Some fairways are just full of rough and weed. Some poor greens. With 2 just a brown patch. No other facilities.
Value for money
Can’t complain. Decent course design forcing you to play some interesting shots. At £16 a round you can forgive a couple of patchy greens.
A tatty but cheap ish place to lose balls
As an ex member I was saddened to see how neglected the course maintenance is. Still good enough for a quick round at a decent price though. Take plenty of balls with you!
Good potential
Lovely fairways but greens needS some TLC rough and bumpy needs some water on them, but apart from that we had a good day.
Poorly kept
You know it’s not well looked after when you’re finding it hard to locate your ball that’s on the fairway.
Terribly maintained, gone down hill
Haven’t played here for a few years, now e on reception, lack of signs for next tee, can’t distinguish if some tee areas are actually for the hole. Greens are overgrown. No maintenance
Poorly kept course
The tee offs were dismal Ive never seen anything like it and fairways really poorly kept, every time I hit my ball I couldn’t find it were the grass was so long and for the greens well I’ve seen better fairways for putting will definitely not attending this course again and for future guests it should be free to play as I carnt see how they are getting away with charging the public
Get what you pay for
Course is in okay nick with some of the greens having sand patches and the bunkers being pretty solid but considering you pay 11 quid for 18 you can’t expect much.
Nice Course, shame abut the condition
Played Lee Valley with Two Friends on Sunday, We have played this Course numerous times before and always enjoyed it., we were very disappointed with the Condition of the Course, the Greens were absolutely atrocious, worse we have ever played on, seemed like they have not been cut for months.
We completed the Round as we do enjoy the layout of the Course but the condition certainly affected our enjoyment.
We are not complainers and I do not usually leave comments, but feel on this occasion it is necessary.
Do not book to Play here if DRIVING,CHIPPING OR PUTTING IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR GAME.
Lee Valley, Please Please Please Sort this mess out, or i fear this once enjoyableCourse will not last.
We Certainly will not play here again in its current state.
They also have foot golf there now which is not ideal but they need to take in some money as there just not as many playing golf anymore. Fairways need a cut but greens were decent enough. Only paid £10 so can’t complain. Worth visiting if only to get another practice round under your belt. The course has has gone down hill a bit but would still play there again as it’s cheap and not at all snooty as some courses in the area can be.
Tight course
Lee Valley is a nice short course with some narrow fairways, which make it quite challenging for highish handicapper.
Terrible
Where to start? A course mixed up with a footgolf course. There wasn't a single piece of fairway. Terrible layout. The greens looked like an allotment. The tee of points were like a jungle. It was an awful experience. We actually called in a day after the 10th. You couldn't pay me to go back there
