A no-frills but good value experience

At £12 for a Saturday morning 18-hole round I feel a bit ashamed to complain but while I enjoyed the challenge of this quirky, hilly course, the service at the clubhouse was awful. The lady that was ‘working’ there would barely turn away from the TV. She told me she was covering for the normal staff, which would explain why she knew nothing of the course and wasn’t able to sell any food from the bar & grill beyond crisps. Toilets downstairs were locked.
However, other players out on the course were very friendly and helpful.

Great little course and value for money

Nice course and friendly green keepers and staff, not a fan of the championship tee infront of the previous green on hole 3, also the the tee box layout of 6 & 8 are a little hazardous but aside from that a challenging and interesting little course

Not for me

Very poor course. Very hilly and just a bit of a slog. First and final holes particularly poor. Massive dip in fairway. Got lost twice on the way round and saw others doing the same. Poorly signposted. Just not a great experience all round.

Nice little 9 hole course

Beautiful weather, very enjoyable round of golf on a.nice 9 hole course. A bit slow on the first 9 being behind a slow 2 ball but they only played 9 holes so the 2nd nine was very quick. Great value, friendly staff, would play again.

Overall a good course with some interesting holes, particularly the first and last holes. The greens were far too wet though and made putting difficult, disappointing as the course we played and day before the greens were pretty good. No air compressor for cleaning shoes and trolley was annoying as the car was filthy when we got back. Would play the course again though as the value for money was good.

Billiard table greens

Best value for money course in Sussex by far , once you have got over the walk to the first green which is not the easiest to hit for a par three, the rest of the course is fairly easy to walk around , the greens and fairways are in good condition, the staff have worked hard to maintain this course which is playable all year round , bar is pleasant and very reasonably priced beer

Great 9 hole downland course, I’d recommend a trolley or buggy for a full 18 though

Never disappoints

When you get over the hill on the approach to the 1st green , the rest of the course is a breeze , in places it’s challenging but playable all year round

Great course for a quick 18 holes

Great value for money course, went for a quick round of 18 holes and was happily surprised by the course. Friendly staff, good course conditions and quick play. The course layout could be explained a bit better or indicated with markers and signs for first time players but it all makes sense after the first round.

Too hilly

Greens in very good condition. However, very confusing where to tee off from.
Too many hills for my liking and as I said before not straight forward where you are going. Very unlikely that I will be playing there again.
