First time playing Withernsea

Easy to play but we'll thought out for a 9 hole and reverse play.

Very nice 9 hole course you play twice to some shared greens from different tee positions. Only issue we had was bumping into a few groups as we were about to start our 14th hole (their 5th) which backed us up a bit but really liked the course. Some challenging holes and narrow fairways on some holes but also some short par 4s which gives birdie chances as long as you are accurate from the tee

A day at Withernsea

Unfortunately the clubhouse was closed so can't comment on facilities, but we had an enjoyable round.

Bit of a gem

Had a day to myself so thought I’d have a knock (always worth having the clubs in the car). Difficult time of year with rain about and grass growing fast. Greens played brilliantly, nice and firm, rolled well. Some holes are HARD as the fairway is a cig paper in width. Very enjoyable.

Rainy day

Arrived at 10:30 On a slightly damp Saturday morning for a 10:44 tee time. The club house and the course were completely deserted. No one in sight,

Nice course with wide fairways which offer forgiveness for sliced or hooked shots

Some divots in greens presumably where seagulls have attacked!

Shared greens for some holes which could be a problem if busy traffic on the course

Don’t know how it’s 4 star rating

First hole noticed they was a massive hose right in the middle of the green all waterlogged around the hole, brilliant after paying £15 for this round things could only get better I suppose. Turns out that wasn’t the only green that had hoses across the green and waterlogged.Only good thing about this course is that the bunkers was raked out well.
Overall worst course ever played don’t know how it’s got 4 star rating on GolfNow app.

Decent course for the price

The course was good for the price. The layout was really hard to work out with a couple of holes having the same tee box or hole location. Wasn’t much in the way of club house/ somewhere to get a drink
But having say that I would play it again

Decent track

I’m not a lover of 9 holes twice tbh but this is a decent course that’s quite open , it has a few really nice holes and I was pleasantly surprised tbf , could do with grass and greens cutting a bit shorter but not a tough course by any means (although the wind was strong ) as I went round in 89 of 18 hc , staff were spot on . All in all I’d say if your a decent golfer and fancy a decent bit of practice take a punt here as I don’t think you would be disappointed

Withernsea

Nice small course. Although it is 13 hole course, due to the layout it is like playing 18 different holes. It is an honesty box course but the staff that are there are ery friendly. I also plsyed with a member the 2nd time for 9 holes. The groundsmsn even lent me a push trolley for one round.
