One of best in North East

Love playing at Beamish.
Every hole is a different challenge and the course was in a lot better condition than most in the area.
Only gripe pace of play was very slow and we were waiting every shot.
Good clubhouse with friendly staff and food was excellent. Not much selection drinks wise.

Absolutely fantastic

First time Playing at this course. After one round it has became one of my favourite courses. Few winter greens In play, they were better than some normal greens i have played at more expensive courses. The rest of the course was immaculate. Will definitely be returning. Staff are spot on and very welcoming. Overall A great challenging course. I'm suprised it was so cheap.

Splendid course

Thoroughly enjoyed the course, considering the recent rain the course was in a great condition. A beautiful setting with a varied range of holes with some challenging areas of the course. Very well maintained and simple features like bins and ball washers all round the course which are missing from many courses.

A fantastic challenging course

Played here after torrential rain. The views are stunning and all of the holes very interesting !
Some fantastic holes.

Would love to play in height of summer. Only negative was there was no sky sports in the club house.

Look forward to playing there again

Up and down at Beamish

What an amazing days golf at Beamish Park Golf Club. The weather was fine with a little breeze but not enough to impact the ball flight. The BPGC boasts stunning views from its elevated positions and the history of the site is tangible. The course is very undulating and hilly in places, a good level of fitness required (and an oxygen tank, lol). One of the most impressive features is the condition of the fairways, they were stunning and carpet like underfoot.
The 16th hole was a particular pleasure with an elevated Tee box looking down into a ravine where the narrow fairway has tree lined slopes on either flank.stunning!
Thanks BPGC for a great day!

Challenging beauty

Beamish was in great condition in August. Greens ran true fairways were excellent and tee boxes nicely flat. The course is particularly hilly which will be a challenge for some especially hole 4 and 18. There are some blind shots and this makes playing it for the first time more difficult. Pace was ok up to hole 8, when we started to get backed up, so we joined the 2 members behind and they were great company and gave useful pointers. A really good challenge for any level golfer and the course has been intelligently carved into the hills with great scenery. Will play again.

Beamish

1. All holes had some interest; would play there again.
2. Very slow due 4 ball that wouldn't allow faster groups ahead of us to pass.
3. Friendly staff but no catering at the time we finished. Shepherd and Shepherdess pub just along the road is excellent though.

Beamish visit

Played Beamish as there was a Seniors Open on at home club. Course was in great condition as usual. Lush fairways and excellent greens, considering last months bad weather. Always a joy to play with some great holes. Highly recommended, very good value for money.

Slow play

4.45 minutes to play a course from short tees and three temporary greens is shocking. There was obviously a decision to capitalise on other nearby courses being closed. The result to many players.
Shame because it is a nice course.

Good course, varied holes

Good course, lots of up and down. All holes varied. 12th is excellent

Only negative was to getting to the course. You drive past Beamish museum entrance. Was school holiday and very busy with big queues. But course can't help that.
