Stover Golf Club

Not the most picturesque course in the area, but it is in very good condition with good fairways and excellent greens.

Some holes are a little similar and the 18th is very underwhelming but overall very enjoyable.

Clubhouse and facilities are very average.

Can’t recommend this course more! The course is beautiful, excellently kept fairways and greens. If you haven’t played this course before you must. The scenery of the course is amazing too.

Played yesterday with 2 friends, first time for each of us to Stover. We live locally and have now well and truly added this gem to our list. Easy walk which given the thundery 25 degree heat this week was a huge benefit, that said enough variation in height to make some lovely interesting tee positions. Well established trees, brooks and bunkers gaurd the greens really well, so hitting the greens in regulation takes some nerve and accuracy. Greens were true and well look after. Not the longest course, but plenty of challenges, a good aspect is that being a parkland course there's not much in the way of thick rough so a wayward shot can easily be located. Albeit on the wrong fairway.

Highly recommend stover and we will defo be back.

The course is always in good nick, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the members too.

Greens excellent, fairways burnt up but ok. Unfair to comment on off-course facilities due to Covid but staff dealt with restrictions well.

Played Sat 11th July with my Son. Condition of the course was excellent, greens were lush. Not long but rewarding with a good tee shot. Very friendly staff and members. Very picturesque, Enjoyed it so much playing again next week.

Would definitely recommend this course, first of all, it’s a fairly level course so easy on the legs. A very challenging course too, so hitting the fairway is vital.

The greens were exceptional, and the course was absolutely perfect for our round.

Looking forward to playing again soon.

Great course well looked after, I would say that it is not paticularly long but drives need to be very accurat. Greens and fairway were in great condition

We booked our round for late pm tee off which fortunately was just after some extensive rain had finished. This meant we pretty much had the course to ourselves and meant we had a leisurely round. The fairways were well trimmed and the greens were in good nick. Some of the fairways looked a bit scorched in places after a recent spell of hot weather but didn't affect play. A reasonable test of golf prowess where slightly wayward shots aren't severely punished. A good variety of holes too.
