Varied course, varied condition

Nice course with a variety of types of holes, interesting green set ups and some lovely drives from elevated tee boxes. Some fairways were under repair but not too bad for this time of year. unfortunately we were booked in in the midst of a regent competition so were behind multiple four balls, steady round al considered

Great putting greens

The whole course was in great condition, and the putting greens were perfect - the best I've played on this year. They were true and quicker than others I've played recently

This must be the best parkland golf course I have ever played!
The condition was very good after several day rain and a storm the night before we played.
The design of the course is very interesting and not repetitive. The yardage markers (200, 150, 100) are superb. Clubhouse and locker room have an historic elegance. We were given a friendly welcome in the pro shop, and some members who were looking for a ball let us play through. This is a great golf course and will play this again

What a cracker

Hallowes is a fantastic course to play with a bit of everything.

The condition of the course and the greens in particular was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day even the member of our 4-ball who wanted to walk in after a disastrous front 9!

Great Course

Great course and setting. The condition was great from tee to green with only one tee box that was very dry. The clubhouse is a very nice old building which is weathered but keeps up with the old classic look. Facilities were very good with nets, range and large putting green.
The weather was great on the day minus the wind but really added to the challenge. Very nice range of holes and picturest settings. Playing conditions were made tougher with a lot of bounce off the fairways etc., but would recommend this course to anyone.

Sensible width fairways!

Very well kept course, fairways are wide enough to be forgiving.
Nice greens & good mix of 3,4 & 5's.

I would recommend Hallowes over several others around these parts during the summer months..

Good condition

As first time visitors my friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the good condition the course was in. Only three temporary greens and they were good. Course is well maintained and members we spoke to were courteous and helpful when talking about where to play the ball and lie of the greens and the approaches. The only problem we found was that the extra yardage we had to put in due to the roping off of certain areas, was tiring and took its toll. We are both in our 70's and pulled our trolleys, keeping fit paid off! a thoroughly enjoyable round of golf and the pro in the shop was very welcoming and pleasant, we will visit again. especially after sampling the hospitality bar area, can't wait. Definitely worth the money.
