The Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Course at Cap Cana resort combines a varied landscape of bluffs, beach, and jungle to provide a unique and memorable challenge. Every hole, even those that are not adjacent to the ocean, offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. The golf course features an interesting variety of holes that require both skill and strategy. Punta Espada G.C. is also a rather forgiving layout though with wide fairways bordered by manageable cuts of rough and generous bailout areas. Many consider the par-3 13th hole to be the signature hole of the course. It is definitely one of the most challenging and scenic of all the holes, requiring a difficult tee shot over the ocean to a lush green.
