Description
4 sets of tees. The longest hole is 537 Metres and the shortest is 164M. The first four holes are just a tease for the fifth, which starts the more difficult and complex holes with salt water ponds and well-protected greens. Opened in 1998.
There are more than 70 bunkers and many doglegs on this narrow course set between the seas. Hole 18 consists of 3 Isles. 5 par 3s, 8 par 5s, 5 par 5s.
Automatic water system. Bermuda grass. Rental of clubs and balls available. Cart rental mandatory. ($10 US). Green fees around $60 US. Special fees for clients of Sol Meliá, Meliá Varadero and Meliá Las Americas.
Originally known as Xanadu, then, Dupont Mansion and later, Las Américas. The layout was built by the past owner of Xanadu (now the clubhouse) Irénee Dupont de Nemours.
