Course Reviews

Course Name Punta Borinquen Golf and Country Club
Location Ramey Base, Aguadilla County, Puerto Rico
Comments from Trevis Moss, Harvest, Alabama, USA
The present course was built in 1946-47 by the NCOs who arrived in April-June 1946. I was there and one of them. At that time It was Borinquin Field, P.R. and there was no Air Force at that time, it was Army Air Forces. I am sure many improvements have been made since. THis course was always a favorite of visiting VIPs and those who fancied themselves so. I was NCOIC of Aircraft Dispatch at that time and had to roll out the red carpet for the truly VIPs, ie. Senators, Cabinet Secretaries, Representatives [ only on the Armed Forces Committee or the House Appropriations Commettee, and Generals and Admirals that out ranked General Steel, the Air Division Commander at that time. Otherwise the red carpet and its welcoming detail would have been permanent on duty.
