Great value, challenging course for beginners
I've played at Mission Hills twice and once here. This course is far more difficult that Mission Hills. Most shots are not straight shots onto the green (Unless you want to run the risk of hitting your ball in the bunkers or bushes). I've only golfed 3 times and shot around 12 over par at Mission Hills, 15 over par here and losing some balls.
The fairway is pretty narrow on most holes and there are a bunch of patches where the grass is barely growing, but you only end up on these areas if you hit the ball high on the tee and it goes short.
Marshall with the glasses that drives around the course only asked us what time our tee time was because we played a little early since no one was ahead of us. The girl at the front desk is very friendly.
Overall, very fun course. The difficulty makes it fun, which requires you to think about where you want to place the ball for the the best shot on the next stroke.
challenging 9 hole
Bring extra balls! Nice challenging layout, and a little longer than most par 3 courses. You get to use driver on several holes. But hit 'em straight! Wild rough on one side, swamp reeds on the other.
Very nice practice facility, range with plenty of targets, practice traps, and decent putting.
Challenging little course
Fremont Park is a challenging little executive course. It has five par 4s and 4 par 3s. There are a lot of unique shots, hazards to avoid, and narrow fairways to hit on all but one of the par 4s. The first four par 4s are tricky and are relatively short. The last par four and the final hole on the course is big, long and wide open and you can finally hit your driver. The course is very natural and scenic with marshlands and other nature to admire. Two of the par 3s are only about 80 yards and are the easiest holes on the course. Otherwise, this really isn't a course for beginners, unless you don't mind losing 6 - 8 golf balls. For intermediate to advanced players there are some challenges that you normally don't find on an executive course.
Maintenance wise, the greens are in nice shape but there are a lot of dead, dry, crusty, dirt areas in the fairways. I had a good time though.
good bang for the buck
It is hit or miss with the workers. A few are rude or major airheads. The ladies bathroom doesn't lock or have soap or paper towels. The worse part is the goose stuff on the greens. But at $16 you can't complain much. It is nice for the price.
Challenging Nine Hole Course
I recommend this course to anyone who has some prior experience. I would not recommend this course to a "newbie". Most nine hole courses are very forgiving. This is NOT the case for MOST holes on this course. Lots of staked areas, water, and narrower fairways make it a real challenge. It makes you concentrate on your shot instead of just hitting the ball. The two short holes are very short and a full swing with your loftiest club may get you into trouble. Bring a few "extra" balls :) I enjoyed the challenge of this course and will definitely be playing there again.
ALSO, they have a range and a "short game" practice area. Nice facility and friendly staff.
Fun time!
My friend and I decided to try out Fremont Park and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well maintained. We will be coming back.
Horrible Course
Horrible course, mostly dirt and duck droppings. If you can find any grass it is patchy and half crab grass. It seems like it is maintained by the Fremont Park maintenance or someone who never played golf in their life. The driving range is artificial turf with blue tarp that I guess is supposed to be water? I doubt if the staff ever played golf and the marshall is just out there eyeballing the women players. Totally over-priced, I wouldn't play there again if they paid me.
This course is in horrible condition! In some ares the fringe is hard mud(no grass)Will never go back, rather pay double elsewhere and enjoy playing..

Interesting layout but maintenance needs TLC
Course has a good layout but there are maintenance issues. Tee boxes are bad, Fairways and greens could be better. However, the practice facilities are very good.
9 Hole Course
Good value with deals on GolfNow. I took my son to the course a few times. Both of us liked it.
Good for the money. Get a cart
not a bad golf course. I would recommend a cart but their pricing is strange; they charge the cart per "person" not per "cart". anyhow, the grass is playable and beside 2 holes, the rest are easy or med-easy. take extra balls with you
goal is to try and not loose a golf ball !
I like the layout and the greens, it's a good place to work on your accuracy...I managed to accomplish the goal and not loose a ball and shot 6 over. all in all, it's a fun 9-hole course worth checking out.
A very nice walk thru the park
For fresh air and exercise this 9 hole course is excellent. The surrounding area is an ideal environment for this course.
tight fairways, lots of hazard areas. very good practice facility with plenty of range stalls, chipping areas and grass tees.
too much evironmetal area, not much fairway and what is there, slopes to hazard areas.
tee boxes need work. traps left unraked, divots in fairways and ball marks on greens left unrepaired. this course needs an agressive marshal in a bad way.
Good challenging little place
A lot of water and narrow fairways. Nice little course that is pretty challenging and a lot of fun to play.
This Course needs work!
The tee boxes are uneven and the yardage on the signs are wrong. The greens have brown spots all over them. The fairways are ok but if you dont land in the fairway you are OB cause there is water on one side and train tracks on the other for most of the holes. But you get what you pay for with golfnow i paid $7.
Course is very good for an intermediate player.
The Course has more par4's which helps one drive long distances across sand and land hazards. For short game, enough hazards exist making the short game more interesting. The greens on all holes are typical in each. One has to make a left or right cuts on many of the holes.
No rough, just dirt; greens and fairways: soggy or hardpan- take your pick.
If you think to just play an easy round and work on short game, go somewhere else. the whole course is too inconsistent to provide any metric for what you are doing. Greens were so soggy, there were residual spike marks all over most of them. Almost better to just stay home.
Boggie
Tee boxes are quite uneven. Some Par 4 fairways need maintenance. Green condition is OK. Cheap green fee for a 9 holes course.
Good for when your in a hurry
The course is good for the price but only on line at certain hours. Other than that its priced to high. The tee boxes need some work and the most fairways need some work. Also the bunkers re not kept up they were hard and not raked.
