This course is affected by weather. On many days carts need to stay on the cart path. Membership fees are high for the number of actual playing days. The course generally does not open until after Easter and closes at first frost. Most years 8 months play is all that's available and has been known to shut down after heavy rains because of poor drainage. In addition, management of the course is barely adequate, if that. For example, in a recent course championship tournament (August 4 & 5) the second day of the tournament was stopped because of rain (no lightning nor thunder and the rain was not heavy) after the final group was at the 4th hole. However, open play continued during the day and another tournament immediately following the club tournament was allowed to play. By stopping play, and re-scheduling two weeks later, some of the top players from the first day did not have the opportunity to continue because of other commitments. I have never heard of postponing play because of rain after a tournament had started especially if other play was allowed to continue. It is my opinion that the yearly membership fee is out of line when the number of playing days and course management is taken into account.
