My choice as #1 Golf Course on the Island. A great mix of challenge and scenery. The course is well maintained and has a very friendly staff. Can be a little slow in mid-July to mid-August. If you play during the "shoulder season" you'll love this course. If you go to PEI do not miss Green Gables !

We played six courses in PEI: Crowbush, Dundarave, Belvedere, Brudenell, Mill River and this one. Green Gables would rate #6 on this list and not necessarily because it's a bad course or poorly maintained. Certainly we don't regret playing it! It's just that the others are simply superior in every area that you'd rate when evaluating a course or your golf experience. I'd consider this course slightly above average in most regards; playability, conditioning, memorability, design factors, ambience, difficulty, etc. Although it was mid-September when we played it (and that could've been a factor) most play was in twosomes. I think this would be the place to play if you wanted to play a spur of the moment game and that's the niche it fills. Judging by the amount of maintenance staff about, it looks as though management intends to try to elevate it's status. In the meantime, if you intend to only play a game or two on PEI and want the best golfing experience the Island can offer, the other facilities noted earlier are better bets.
