Course Name Peover Golf Club
Location Lower Peover, Knutsford, Cheshire, England
Comments from Joanne Baker, Cheshire, England
Peover Golf Club is a challenging eighteen hole par 72 parkland course, covering 165 acres of varied terrain and is now considered one of the country's sternest tests for any golfer. The course is situated in picturesque surroundings where the course and fairways make the most of the natural features without exploiting them. The ponds and the Peover Eye River that runs through the course are havens for wildlife, but attractive as they are, they have no repect for the wayward drive or that misplaced approach shot. There is an excellent mix of holes varying in design and character with many doglegs and water hazards including the Peover Eye River which three of the fairways cross, including the first, so there's no relaxing from the offset.
