A Robert Trent Jones design. Well-maintained. Undulating and narrow. Young trees offers no protection to the often windy conditions. The pins are only visible on the tees on the Par-3s. The rest are hidden by change in elevations and doglegs. Require precise driving and 2nd shots. Staff in the proshop are friendly. Well worth a visit when in London. November/99 |

I played the course a few times soon after it opened. A couple of the holes reminded me a little of Ballybunion, but as a park land course it is nowhere nearly as rugged. The proximity to LHR airport means that you can fit in a quick round before departure or on arrival, or between transits. As a public course though, the pace of play can be slow. The best thing about the course is the wonderful idea of turning a wasteland into something that can bring so much pleasure to so many. Watch out for loose stones, I damaged a few clubs here.
