Overstone Park Golf Club

Course was in fantastic condition. Really looking good, and playing so well for early autumn! Staff were helpful, few issues regarding the system between GolfNow/Teeofftimes and Overstone’s on course system, course had booked us in a little later than golfnow had confirmed but course were very thoughtful of our needs as guests, and put us in a reasonable time, but potential to be an time related issue for others.
On the whole very happy with experience and condition, our experience of members where generally quite good also, which is always nice to be made to feel welcome. Good Work!

Had a great game of golf at Overstone today.
Grounds were in excellent condition, greens were consistent and fairways very well kept. I love this course and it is also very local which is a bonus.

I’ve lates Overstone Park 7 times before. For this time in the year, the course is in good condition, lack of rainfall this winter helping all courses, including Overstone. Some pin positions unnecessarily in difficult positions, some customers/members play for enjoyment. All in all it was a good round and booked another Hot Deal Teeofftime for later this week.

Always looking for courses that have special deals to encourage visitors and halt the decline in golfers and thus selling land off for housing!
Course was in good condition and the groundstaff were out in numbers making it ready for the coming season.
Zero winter mats or temporary greens

First time I have played here. The tees and fairways were in great shape. The greens were OK, but have been aerated recently. A bit bumpy in places, but still quite quick.
The Par 3 17th over the lake is a lovely hole - there are several more memorable holes as well.
I would recommend the course to anyone who wants an enjoyable and moderately challenging 18 holes of Golf.
Pro shop staff and bar staff were lovely.

Excellent lay out fairways and greens in first class condition

played here again after finding really good deal.
Tee time was 2pm, and as i was playing by myself i hoped i could get around before lights out.
Just managed, there were some juniors showing the way and how to swing a club without inhibitions - joy to watch.
They all let me through without any problems.
Course was still in pretty good order, even after the rain we had.
Only real problem were birdies of the feathered variety on certain holes.
Will be back no doubt.

Turned up early and went for a reasonably priced coffee from the friendly bar staff. Our unreliable friend was late (again) but the guy in the shop was understanding and just let us go when he arrived. Course was great for the time of year and conditions and the greens were fast and responsive. Cracking golf course!

Overstone Park is one of the best kept courses in the Northamptonshire area. The Greens are superbly looked after and the Tee Boxes are wide, plenty of tee choices and these are also kept in excellent condition.
The course pays well, fairways are generous and light rough is also kept short (so you have half a chance.
Some great Par 3s round or over water are the feature here and a long Par 5 around the iconic Overstone tree.
The club has changed hands again and their is investment in the course and the facilities for a beer and food after are second to none.
Shame they struggle during the Winter!

But a Tee Off Times deal in the afternoon at £17 is pretty hard to beat!

played today after 5 weeks of no rain. course still had green areas and the greens were in excellent condition and ran true. the layout is very engaging and you don't get bored.
staff in bar, Tia I think her name was, needs to attend service training course. face like a wet nipper and that's doing a disservice to the fish!

Lovely setting that promises more than it delivers.

Very busy and pro seemed flustered and not particularly pleased with my arrival.

All bunkers are currently ground under repair and some are flooded so badly even in this heat that you can loose your ball in the water.

Greens run true but are very slow.

Pace of play was good on the front 9 but painful on the back, waiting on every shot and sometimes going back to previous greens for some putting practice as no one would let you through.

Good variety of holes.

Paid £17 for round which seemed fair.
Wouldn't consider £32+ which is normal rate.

All the members playing the course were very friendly and helpful. Staff in the bar after our game were very welcoming. Overall a good day and hopefully we will return.
