A rather easy stroll for the average golfer. The course has wide fairways, average numbers of trees, "nice" rough and not many water hazards. Situated close to a major highway, it is near the Pretoria city centre and in rather beautiful surroundings. You start with two easy par fives, but the long 206-meter par three fifth hole, plays a little long. The stroke one eight hole makes a sharp dogleg to the right, but can be cleared by the longer hitters over a few large bluegum trees. With a nice clubhouse and at reasonable rates of R40 to R70 (US$7 to 12) the greenfee remains a bargain, although this is the case with most of South Africa's excellent golf cources. January/00 |
