Great outing
Great golf on a cold day, not many people on the course. Course is in great shape .
We'll be back
Great early season round.
Course is in great shape for early May.
High wood in great shape
The course is in the best condition I have seen it all year, greens are very responsive, great roll on the fairways I recommend everyone try this before it closes this fall
new look
played the new holes on heritage was strange feeling after playing course for many years.
Decent course
Good value fairways were in good shape some rough areas far too overgrown nice pro shop
Nice track
Nice wide fairways help keep the speed of play up. Greens were a little slow but it was later in the day. No serious trouble to cause hold ups.
Some great deals through GolfNow for short notice tee times.
Staff is great.
It is a bit of a trek to the practice range but free carts are available.
Flooding damage a problem
The course is not in very good shape due to flooding in the past. A good deal of effort has been made to correct some of the situation. A bit over priced.
Fairways not great
The fairways are not in great condition. Grass is quite thin.
Coming along great after the devastating flood of 2013
Course is in great shape staff is exceptional in their friendleness and are extremely helpful.
Very satisfied.
Rain interrupts a good round...
Had a rain delay about 7th hole. An employee came by and said we could get a rain check if we wanted. Nice of them to offer. Sometimes you need to argue. We stopped for lunch and continued on afterwards.
Awesome coure
This is a challenging course. It's in excellent condition. The staff is amazing and it is excellent value for the money.
Just ok.
The course was ok. We enjoyed the back nine more then the front, or was the back nine the front? The scorecard we had to go looking for was backwards. More signage and hazard tips would be nice.
The greens were awful and kept us from bothering with the score so it was not really worth the drive from Calgary. I understand the green were just aerated but we didn't know that until we were there. Before booking a warning would have been appreciated or at least a free cart rental or voucher of some sort.
Needs help
Theflood changed the layout . The greens are fine but the overall layout and condition, it's,going to take a while for it to mature. I would play it again if it cost $30., otherwise lots of other choices
New Heritage
Great job re-doing the 1st 4 holes on Heritage. Hadn't played the course due to the 2013 flood.
I was very impressed.
Directions to next holes
After what your coarse has indured after the past couple floods ,you have done an amazing job at getting it to the shape it's in today. The only thing I had trouble with it not knowing where the next hole is.But I'm sure you will have that all figured out in the next little while.
Great job highwood G&C
Still 18 holes, 2 holes affected by construction
They are replacing the sod on the 4th hole of MountainView 9. This has made them play it as a par 3 to a temp green and also cause the 2nd hole to play from temp telex (as par 3).
Otherwise course and greens are in nice shape.
I hear tell that they plan to reopen some of the holes lost in 2013 floods soon.
Good Golf Now Value
Grass is just growing, flood negatives are gone. Green are great and club house is a treat.
Battling Back From The Floods
Considering the devastation of the June 2013 floods the course is in really good shape. A few areas are a bit rough but really don't affect the quality of play. The Heritage 9 runs along the Highwood River for a few holes and through mature Cottonwoods making for a scenic experience. The Mountainview 9 pretty much runs through a housing development that was well thought out and plays nicely. The only negative was the indifference of the Pro Shop staff when I asked to use a demo driver. No explanation of the club and how the adjustments might have helped/hindered my game. I requested a specific flex and that was all I got. I was ready to buy but not without some information on the club - oh well.
