Course Name Dullatur
Location Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, Scotland
Comments from Jim Russell, Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, Scotland
The Carrickstone at 6312 yds., which is the main course (not dinner!), is named after an ancient rock, and the Antonine which is the shorter course is named after the Roman wall which ran just north of these courses, crossing Scotland between the Firth of Clyde and the Firth of Forth and was as far north as the Romans civilised (don't say a word!!!!!!!!) Carrickstone, undulating heathland/parkland. A good test of golf. Antonine shorter but requires accuracy.

I Remember the Carrickstone course with much fondness. I (with my family) lived & worked on that course for 5 years in the early sixties, it was pretty windswept then, though I did plant quite a lot of trees. My favourite hole was the 6th. over the wee burn (par 3), but all of them were a challenge.
