This is an excellent golf course. The variety of holes is outstanding. The front nine is fairly wide open, and features a wonderful set of holes in #s 2, 3, and 4. The second hole is a difficult uphill par 4, the #1 handicap hole on the course. Following that are the picturesque downhill par-5 (#3), with the approach shot over water. The fourth hole is a 170-yard par 3 which is all carry over water. The back nine, in contrast to the front nine, is narrow and tight, and requires accurate iron play. The course is in very good shape all year. The only negative is a fairly spartan clubhouse. Date: May/99 |
